A l’occasion de ses vingt ans, la Maison du Livre interroge le futur ! Quel futur voulons-nous et aurons-nous le choix ?

Le point de départ est de constater un mouvement simultané, voire convergeant, d’hybridation entre l’homme et la machine : l’humain tendrait à se machiniser, tandis que la machine s’humaniserait. Intelligence artificielle, robotique et algorithmes d’un côté ; prothèses, implants, interventions sur le génome et numérisation des organes de l’autre. En viendrons-nous à abolir la distinction entre vivant et non-vivant ? L’être humain est-il entièrement numérisable ? La tâche sera de faire la part du réel, de la fiction, de la mythologie et de l’enfumage.

Dans ce cadre j’animerais une table ronde autour des croisements arts/science

On the occasion of its twenty year anniversary, the Maison du Livre (House of the Book) questions the future! What future do we want and will we have the choice?

The starting point will be to note a simultaneous movement, even converging, of hybridization between the man and the machine: the human would tend to be machinized, while the machine would be humanized. Artificial intelligence, robotics and algorithms on one side; prostheses, implants, genome interventions and digitization of the organs of the other. Will we come to abolish the distinction between living and non-living? Is the human being fully digitizable? The task will be to share the real, fiction, mythology and smoke.

In this context, I will lead a round table discussion about arts/science intersections.
